Five people in Pearland were fatally injured as a result of a rollover accident. The accident occurred on Saturday evening, at about 7:28 p.m.

The Pearland Police Department reported that the rollover accident occurred when a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 288 at high speeds struck another vehicle. The second vehicle then rolled over as a result of the collision.

The second vehicle was carrying five passengers. Four of them were ejected from their vehicle as it rolled over, and were fatally injured as a result. Three of the passengers, including a minor child, were pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth person was transported to a nearby hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries.

The driver responsible for the rollover crash was also fatally injured, and was pronounced dead at a nearby Pearland hospital. The two other passengers of that vehicle, both minors, were hospitalized as well, and are in unknown condition.
