A man has died and another has been injured following a deadly crash involving a tractor-trailer near Greens Road. The crash occurred at the 12400 block of I-45, near Greens Road, at about 4:35 a.m. yesterday morning.

Officials say that prior to the crash, a flatbed truck had been driving north on I-45 when its trailer detached and stopped on the freeway. The trailer was then struck by a Ford Mustang, and a Ford Ranger pickup truck attempted to veer out of the way but struck the back of the trailer.

The Ranger driver, a 57-year-old man, died as a result of his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The driver of the Mustang was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition. The driver of the flatbed truck was not injured.

The roads were closed following the crash, reopening several hours later.
