A man has died after his stalled vehicle was struck by an Uber driver on the Eastex Freeway. The accident occurred early this morning, at about 1 a.m., in the northbound lanes of the Eastex Freeway near Little York.

Officials say that they received notice of a stalled Jaguar sedan in the moving lanes of traffic on the Eastex Freeway. When they arrived onto the Eastex Freeway, they found that an Uber driver in a GMC Yukon SUV had struck the stalled vehicle, crashing into it from behind.

The man driving the Jaguar died as a result of the collision, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Yukon, an Uber driver heading home after working, did not suffer any injuries, and declined medical treatment at the scene.

Investigators reported that the woman driving the SUV showed no signs of intoxication. They believe that she did not see the Jaguar while cresting over a hill and ran into the back of his vehicle.
